Itinerary

The itineraries accompanying airline tickets will contain pertinent information that should always be verified upon receipt. The following numbered list will show you where to look on these documents for important information.  See sample itinerary.

  1. Date of ticket issuance.
  2. Company's account number.
  3. Invoice, agent and reservation numbers.
  4. Delivery information.
  5. Passenger's name.
  6. Passenger's division/department number.
  7. Complete air itinerary, including (if applicable) departure and arrival times, meal service and number of stops.
  8. Equipment.
  9. Air miles between cities (not frequent flyer miles).
  10. Elapsed time between departure and arrival of flight.
  11. Confirmed seat assignment.
  12. Identifies the carrier that passenger is actually flying on.
  13. Frequent flyer number.
  14. Itinerary will advise if requested seat is not available.
  15. Car rental information, including car rental company, rental date, car size, pickup point, and confirmation number.
  16. Hotel reservation information including hotel name, address, phone and fax numbers, confirmation number, check-in date, number of nights and confirmed rate.
  17. Remarks notifying passenger of any penalties.
  18. Ticket number.
  19. Form of payment.
  20. Total cost of ticket. (When a ticket is charged to a credit card, a $0.00 balance will show on the itinerary/invoice.)
  21. Identifies when a ticket is issued electronically.
